Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild and Hop Law

Oct. 25, 2014

Big Hop Law news to share!  Hop Law is proud to be a member of the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild (http://www.mncraftbrew.org/)! Our application to join as an allied trade member was recently approved.  We look forward to getting involved with the Guild, attending events, and working with members!  The Guild is an organization of brewers and related businesses that work to promote the brewing industry in Minnesota and we could not be happier to be a part of it.

To celebrate, Hoppy Lawyers went to Surly Brewing’s taproom in Brooklyn Center during its last week at this location.  We sampled: (1) Devil’s Work Porter, a deep malty porter, on cask with black currants; (2) Cultivate Dandelion Saison, a flavorful and big saison than most (usually not a big fan of saisons but found this one to work really well); and (3) Cacao Bender,a phenomenal brown ale that smells like rich espresso and hits you with some dark chocolate in the back of the throat at the end.  It was a great visit to a great brewery and we’re looking forward to trying out the new taproom when it opens.

Surly not only makes great beer, but also has done an excellent job of marketing and branding.  For example:

It’s important for all breweries (young and old) to think about branding strategically.  Feel free to give us a call to discuss and check out our page on how Hoppy Lawyers can help protect your investments in branding and marketing. Trademarks & Copyrights
